Thornton maintains her studio in Missoula. She grew up in a family of traveling artists, living in states across the country from New York to California. Her drawing style evokes child-like imagery, yet her work is refined, quirky and challenging. She has presented solo exhibitions at the brink gallery in Missoula and Missoula Art Museum and Saranac Gallery, Spokane, Washington. Thornton works as an educator at the Zootown Arts Community Center. |
