Yamada, originally from Kamakura, Japan, was a long term resident artist at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, MT after receiving his MFA in Missoula. His ceramic works have been exhibited around the US, including at the Signature Shop and Gallery, Atlanta, Georgia; SOFA, Chicago, Illinois; and a solo exhibition at the Catherine Person Gallery, Seattle. Yamada's works are in numerous private and corporate collections, including Safeco and the Bellevue Club, Seattle, Washington.
