This image is one of four in MAM's collection that documents the Giger Garrity murder at Purviance Independent Service at 711 East Broadway on Tuesday, March 3, 1959. Phil Henry Giger admitted to shooting Daniel Edmund Garrity, but was found innocent by self defense. Ray Doty is the uniformed patrolman standing in the background, fourth from the left. He is also depicted in Object ID 2005.13.17. |
