Statement about this object |
"This was never specifically a print about the brain. A friend just happened to have a transparency of the brain definition while I was in the studio so I incorporated it into the print. I like it very much and it solved some of the problems I was having with the print. Many of my decisions about prints and paintings are made in this manner. Art can be just as confusing and seemingly random as the rest of life. I think most of my insights come out of confusion. One of my favorite quotes is from an American artist, Saul Steinberg. 'My aim is not to explain, but to confuse." - Doug Turman |
